FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Toronto, ON, September 9th, 2025 – ABC Toronto is proud to endorse Shawn Allen for City Councillor in Scarborough-Rouge Park. After years of rising taxes, unchecked spending, and worsening safety concerns, City Hall has failed Scarborough residents.
“Shawn Allen has demonstrated a clear and practical vision for Scarborough-Rouge Park,” said ABC Board Member, Matt McClellan. “As a lifelong Scarborough resident he represents the kind of common-sense leadership Scarborough has been waiting for. While others talk about priorities, Shawn has a real plan.”
Shawn has consistently advocated for policies that will help residents and businesses thrive, including, responsible fiscal management, support for local businesses and community safety, and has demonstrated a clear dedication to Scarborough.
“City Hall has let Scarborough down. With skyrocketing taxes, neglecting local businesses, and letting crime creep into neighbourhoods,” said Jeffrey Kroeker, ABC Board member. “Shawn is the change Scarborough needs. He has a real plan to keep taxes low, make our streets safer, and bring investment back to this community.”
“Scarborough deserves more than broken promises and downtown politics, they need strong representation and common-sense ideas at City Hall,” added Kelly Aizicowitz, member of the ABC Board. “Scarborough-Rouge Park has been overlooked for too long. Shawn isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo and fight for what this community deserves.”
ABC Toronto is calling on voters to stand with Shawn Allen this election and send a clear message: enough is enough.
