TORONTO, ON – A Better City (ABC) Toronto supports stronger enforcement against mini-motorcycles operating in bike lanes and on sidewalks, warning they pose a growing safety risk to cyclists and pedestrians.
“Bike lanes are for bikes. Sidewalks are for pedestrians. Mini-motorcycles do not belong in either,” said Jeffrey Kroeker, Chair of ABC Toronto.
“Residents should not have to worry about fast-moving motorized vehicles in spaces meant to keep people safe. A Better City Toronto supports proposals for stronger enforcement that are practical and focused on safety.”
The issue has been raised repeatedly by residents, but City Hall has failed to act with urgency. ABC wants clear rules and real consequences in place to protect cyclists, pedestrians, seniors, and families using Toronto’s streets and sidewalks.
“Torontonians want a city that works and leadership focused on fixing everyday problems,” Kroeker added. “This is about safety, accountability, and common sense.”
