Protect places of worship in Toronto
The City of Toronto needs to take action to protect places of worship right now.
The facts are terrifying. Anti-Semitic incidents are up 670% in Canada in the last year. A Jewish girls' school in Toronto has had bullets fired at it - on three separate occasions. There have been threatening protests outside of synagogues, mosques and Hindu temples across the GTA.
It's time for worshippers to feel safe in Toronto. Sign this petition if you think City Hall should bring in a bylaw to stop hateful protests outside places of worship.
Brampton, Vaughan and Calgary have already passed motions and by-laws like this - it's time for Toronto to do it!
Your support is vital. In May 2024 Councillors James Pasternak and Brad Bradford tried to bring in safety zones around places of worship but were voted down by Mayor Chow and her allies on council.
