A Better City (ABC) Toronto is a not-for-profit organization of concerned citizens who believe Toronto must become a highly livable city that is the envy of the world.
The City of Toronto is Canada’s economic engine. Our success helps Canada succeed. ABC Toronto advocates for practical solutions to the issues that are holding our city back from its potential, like congestion, community safety, affordability and competitiveness.
By working together, we can make Toronto a place where you can afford to raise a family, with new infrastructure, excellent public services, and an honest and transparent government.

ABC Toronto challenges Olivia Chow and Chris Alexander to sign the pledge before Tuesday's Board of Trade debate
The Candidates below have signed the following pledge: Under the status quo, the city has grown more congested, less safe, and unaffordable. We need big ideas to solve our big problems, and I am ready to do the hard work to get the city back on track. My pledge to Torontonians is that, if elected, I will put economic development, mobility, safety, affordability, and accountability first. I will work every day to make Toronto a better city.

A Better City Toronto is calling on City Hall to adopt a firm affordability commitment: the total municipal tax burden on Toronto residents and businesses should never increase faster than inflation
Toronto’s parks and playgrounds should be clean safe spaces for families and children. As the summer has started, they are being treated like garbage dumps. Wrappers, broken toys, clothing are all being left behind.
